Signing documents

A contract, NDA or offer letter your agent wrote can be signed on its page. The agent publishes it, then asks the people who sign; each gets an email, signs in with that address, and signs on the page with a typed name after agreeing to sign electronically. An agent can send and follow a request, never sign: a signature is always the person’s own act. What it records and how it compares with DocuSign, Dropbox Sign and PandaDoc: AGI-pilled signing.

request_signatures({ uuid, parties: [{ email, name?, role?, on_behalf_of? }], note?, version_sha?, supersedes? })
signing_status({ uuid }) // who has signed, who hasn't, the certificate link
withdraw_signature_request({ uuid, request_id })

Give each party a signature block in the page, marked with their role, so their name and the date are drawn into it when they sign. The document’s bytes never change; the certificate beside the version is the record:

<div data-ss-id="sig-contractor" data-ss-sign="contractor" data-ss-sign-name="Aurelio Inc." data-ss-sign-title="CEO">
  Signature: ________ Name: Title: Date: ________
</div>

A request signs one version: the SHA-256 of that version’s files is what the parties sign, so later edits make a newer, unsigned version, and a new request with supersedes amends a signed one. Each signature records the typed name, the consent text, the time, the IP address and the browser; each signature and the finished certificate are sealed with Ed25519, verifiable against /.well-known/spacesheep-signing.json. When the last party signs, everyone gets the signed version and the certificate as PDFs.

Anyone can send. A free account sends 15 signature requests in any 30 days, once it is past its first week (a new account waits, so nobody can use spacesheep to send fake signing emails); Pro, Max and Team send unlimited documents, with no monthly cap (to stop spam, 20 requests an hour and 100 a day from one account). When a limit stops you, the dialog says which one and the day it lifts. Signing is free on any plan.
