The short answer, by kind
| What you have | How to take it down | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| A shared artifact (new) | Share, then under Who has access choose "Only you" (Pro, Max, Ultra) or "Only people invited" (Team, Enterprise) | The link no longer opens for everyone; on Pro, Max and Ultra people you invited keep access |
| One person's access | Share, open their access level, Remove | That person loses access |
| A published legacy artifact | Unpublish | Access is revoked, it can't be published again, and its saved data is deleted |
| A legacy artifact shared on Team or Enterprise | Share, then Unshare | The shared link stops being shared |
| A Claude Code artifact | /artifacts, select it, press d, confirm | Deleted for good; its link stops working for everyone, including you |
Stop sharing a Claude artifact, step by step
- Open the artifact and choose Share.
- Under Who has access, narrow it: "Only you" on Pro, Max and Ultra, or "Only people invited" on Team and Enterprise.
- Remove anyone you added: open their access level and choose Remove.
Unpublish a published artifact
A legacy artifact (made in a chat before 16 September 2026) published on Free, Pro, Max or Ultra has a public link anyone can open without a Claude account. Choose Unpublish to revoke it.
- It can't be published again. To share it later, Claude says you'll need to create a new artifact.
- Its data goes too. Unpublishing permanently deletes any personal and shared storage the artifact used.
On Team and Enterprise, a legacy artifact was shared with Share & copy link instead: choose Share, then Unshare in the "Artifact shared" window.
Delete an artifact
- In Claude Code: run /artifacts, select one you own and press d, then confirm. It is deleted permanently and its link stops working for everyone, including you. This isn't available inside a cloud session.
- In Claude chat: Claude's help pages don't give steps for deleting an artifact. The sharing page says that if you delete one, everyone you invited loses access.
- For a whole organization: an Owner turning off External sharing stops every outside link until it's turned back on.
Before deleting, export what you want to keep: Docs to Word, PDF, Markdown or Google Docs, Slides to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides, Designs to a .zip, PDF, PowerPoint or standalone HTML.
Taking a space down on spacesheep
- Narrow who opens it: the Share dialog sets only you, named people, your team, anyone signed in, or anyone with the link. Change it any time.
- Archive it: the space stops opening for everyone, and restoring it brings back the same link with the same versions.
- Keep it out of search: an open space stays out of search engines until you tick Listed.

Asked often
How do I unpublish a Claude artifact?
For a published legacy artifact, choose Unpublish. Claude's help page says you can't publish it again afterwards, and its personal and shared storage data is permanently deleted. For a newer artifact, choose Share and set Who has access to Only you (Pro, Max, Ultra) or Only people invited (Team, Enterprise).
How do I delete a Claude artifact?
In Claude Code, run /artifacts, select one you own, press d and confirm: it's deleted permanently and its link stops working for everyone. Claude's help pages don't give steps for deleting an artifact made in chat; deleting one removes access for everyone you invited.
How do I stop sharing a Claude artifact?
Open it, choose Share, and under Who has access choose Only you on Pro, Max and Ultra, or Only people invited on Team and Enterprise. To remove one person, open their access level and choose Remove.
Do people I invited keep access after I stop sharing?
On Pro, Max and Ultra, yes, until you remove them. On Team and Enterprise, everyone you invited from outside your organization loses access and their invitations are removed.
Can I publish a Claude artifact again after unpublishing it?
No. Claude's help page says you'll need to create a new artifact to share it later.
Can I undo taking a spacesheep space down?
Yes. Archiving a space stops it opening for everyone, and restoring it brings back the same link with every version. You can also narrow who opens it from the Share dialog at any time.
